Basecamp Integration

This brief tutorial explains the Basecamp integration. You use Basecamp integration to link your Basecamp projects to your WebEnabled Sites. This will create a new Basecamp message for every activity performed on your site. For example, if you create a new Backup, then a Basecamp message will be created for this activity.

Basecamp account

Enter your Basecamp account. The part that prefixes your URL. Such as https://example.basecamphq.com. Then enter example in this field.

WebEnabled will only work with https (SSL-enabled) Basecamp enabled accounts. Please enable SSL for your Basecamp account before proceeding.

Basecamp account

Enter your Basecamp token. You can find this value by:

  1. Logging into your Basecamp account.
  2. Click on My info in the upper right corner.
  3. Scroll down to the link that says "Show your tokens" and click on it.
  4. Copy and paste the token called "Token for feed readers or the Basecamp API". You may need to generate a new token if one does not exist.

Once you have these values. Click the Next step button.

Choose a project

On this step you simply select the Basecamp project you want to integrate with this Site.

Message type

On this step you simply select the Basecamp project message type to label each new message with.

Assign users

On this step you assign your WebEnabled people/collaborators to the Basecamp users for notification messages. Every time a new message is generated, these users will receive an e-mail notification.

That's it. Confirm and your Site will be linked to the Basecamp project.
