WebEnabled has released new plans that include Shared Production Plans starting at $9.95/month, VPS Plans starting at $19.95/month, and Enterprise Plans starting at $395/month. The full details are available on our pricing page.
With one account you can have multiple VPSes, shared plans, and enterprise plans. Tue, 09/28/2010 - 9:16am • sklakhani
Here's a 15 minute video demonstrating by Benjamin Lowenstein how Code, Configuration, and Content can be staged on WebEnabled and then pushed to a production environment. Here, the production environment is on Acquia. This same approach can be used setup release management to any production environment, regardless of where its hosted.
Contact us if you're interested in setting this up for your own sites.
Server File Management Tools
Tue, 07/20/2010 - 4:23pm • Marc C.
Managing remote-server files is a pain, especially when you have to deal with many files AND servers. While FileZilla is amongst the most popular ftp-clients, I tend to use other much better alternatives that I hope you’d find useful.
This is more of a review blog-post based on my experience with remote-server management tools.
Selection criteria
Before I stick to a specific software, it must match the following criteria:
- safe for prolonged and daily-use
- portable or cross-platform solution
- intuitive
- secure
- free!
Command-line Basics

A blinking bar in a pitch-black background.
Console, terminal, shell, command-prompt: It comes in many names and flavors.
Many are not aware that the command-line interface plays an important role. Whether as a tool that revolutionized the computing industry, or a tv-inspired device turned into an iPhone app – this too won’t be replaced any time soon.
